Emory Creek Ranch

Emory Creek Ranch, Branson MissouriThe Emory Creek Ranch Phase 3,4 & 5 treatment plant is designed to treat 40,500 gallons per day of wastewater. The collection system will be STEP (septic tank effluent pump) directing settled wastewater to the treatment system. The treatment system itself will consist of chemical addition (alum) mixing and then settling, (to remove phosphorus) and then a large recirculation/dosing tank where the settled wastewater will be applied to the gravel filter.

Wastewater will be recirculated over the gravel filter an average of five times before going to an ultraviolet light disinfection system and finally discharge. The system is designed to remove Biochemical Oxygen Demand and Total Suspended Solids to below 15 parts per million, Phosphorus to below 0.5 parts per million, coliform bacteria to below 200 colonies per 100 milliliters and to also remove ammonia and total nitrogen. The level of treatment provided by this system is very high. At an average of 250 gallons per day per home, this facility can serve up to approximately 162 homes.
